Scientific Innovations in Dermatology:
- New treatment for Psoriasis using Climatotherapy in 1993, which transformed the region of Safaga and the Red Sea Coast to an international region for therapeutic tourism.
- A natural selective ultraviolet phototherapy along with bathing in the sea was utilized in the management of psoriasis at Safaga - Red Sea. The advantage of climatotherapy is that the treatment is natural, pleasant and without the serious side effects associated with other therapeutic regimens or systemic medications.
-The results were declared for the 1st time in an International Conference in Safaga in June in 1995, under the patronage of the First Egyptian Lady in the presence of the ministers of Health, Scientific Research and Tourism, in addition to many Egyptian and foreign scientists as well as presentatives of local and international mass media.
-Again, this study was presented and published in the proceeding of the European Conference on Travel Medicine, Venice- Italy, Cini Foundation, 25- 27 March 1998, organized by Tourist Health Center - WHO in collaboration with the Center for Tourist Health and Travel Medicine – Italy.
New therapy for “Vitiligo” which was presented in the International Conference for Arab Dermatologists League in Kuwait, 1997.
- New medical formula for treatment of hair falling, 1998.
- Published paper in the Egyptian journal of biomedical sciences: Vol 3, April 1999: Verification of some natural recipes and preparations for the treatment of hair fall.
- PhD thesis, El Azhar University, 2001: Isolation, characterization and biological evaluation of phytoconstituents responsible for growth and treatment of hair disorders in some herbal preparations.
